More About Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological Occupational Therapy

The goal of occupational therapy is to help people manage everyday tasks at work, home, school and in the community. These activities support physical, social and emotional well-being.

In occupational therapy, your therapist works with you to improve challenges with strength, range of motion, vision, balance, coordination, emotional regulation and thinking skills. Treatment is personalized to help you regain independence and take part in the activities that matter most to you.

While your diagnosis helps guide care, occupational therapy uses a creative, patient-centered approach. Treatment may include changing how tasks are done, using adaptive equipment, adjusting your environment, learning new skills or rebuilding skills you have lost.
