School-Based Pediatric Therapy Services

At Exeter Hospital, we partner with local school districts to provide high-quality, school-based therapy services that help students thrive both in the classroom and beyond. Our team of licensed occupational therapists (OTs), physical therapists (PTs) and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work collaboratively with educators and families to ensure each child receives the support they need to succeed.

Collaborative, Student-Centered Care

We work directly with school staff to deliver services outlined in:

  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • 504 Plans
  • Consultative recommendations

Our collaborative approach helps remove barriers to learning and supports each student’s ability to access the curriculum and educational environment.

Comprehensive Support Services

In addition to direct therapy, our team provides a range of services designed to strengthen support within schools, including:

  • Student needs assessments – identifying areas of growth and intervention
  • Staff training – on feeding strategies, equipment use and ordering, and classroom modifications
  • Extended School Year (ESY) services – to ensure continuity of care and progress during summer months
  • Collaboration with special education teams – integrating therapy with educational goals
