Ostomy & Stoma Care

Exeter Hospital also offers specialized care for patients with intestinal or urinary diversion (ostomies). Each patient works with a board-certified ostomy nurse who provides individualized education and support before and after surgery.

Services include:

  • Preoperative ostomy site marking and education
  • Ostomy self-care instruction
  • Peristomal skin evaluation and care
  • Assistance with fitting and troubleshooting ostomy equipment
  • Guidance for managing skin irritation, leakage, or other complications

If you would like a private consultation with an ostomy nurse, please ask your doctor for a referral or call 603-580-7285 for more information.

Medical Foot Care

The Center for Wound Healing also offers medical foot care, provided by a certified foot care nurse. These services help prevent complications and support long-term foot health — particularly for patients with diabetes or circulation problems.

Services include:

  • Assessment and monitoring of foot health
  • Nail debridement (including thickened or ingrown nails)
  • Callus and corn reduction
  • Diabetic foot care and education
  • Early detection of complications and timely referrals

A referral from your primary care provider and documentation of medical need are required. For more information, please call 603-580-7285.
